High Tech High School admission applications should be submitted in the fall of students' 8th grade year.  The application will be available on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 12:00 PM. You can click here to apply at 12:00 PM on October 3th. Applicants must submit their letter(s) of recommendation, an essay, and a portfolio. Portfolios are only accepted in the form of Google Slides, where indicated in the application.

Recommendation Letters must be submitted via SchoolMint by  Sunday, November 14, 2021. The 1st recommendation letter must be submitted by a teacher and the 2nd letter is optional. Hard copies will not be accepted. Please do not send hard copies to the school.  All applicants will receive a confirmation email stating the required teacher recommendation was received.

Performing arts students MUST audition. Audition details and information are included as part of the online application once a Performing Arts major is selected.

The Admission Review Committee (ARC) is a school-based committee comprised of counselors, teachers, and administrators. The ARC performs a comprehensive evaluation based on the applicant’s grades, attendance, test scores, special skills, talents, interests, letters of recommendation, essay, portfolio, and audition (if required). Applicants are selected based on this criteria while considering the demographics of Hudson County. Students/parents/counselors will receive an email in mid-February; students will be notified of their orientation meeting upon acceptance
