High Tech High School Admission Applications should be submitted in the fall of students' 8th grade year. The application will be available on Sunday, September 24th, 2017. You can click here to apply the morning of the 24th. Applicants must submit their middle school transcripts, standardized test scores, attendance records, letters of recommendation, and an essay; a portfolio is recommended but not required. Portfolios are only accepted in the form of a url, where indicated in the application.
Performing arts students must audition. Performing arts students, please click here to fill out the audition form after September 24th. Both the student portion of the application and the performing arts audition form must be completed by October 20th.
The Admission Review Committee (ARC) is a school-based committee comprised of counselors, teachers and administrators. The ARC performs a comprehensive evaluation based on the applicant’s grades, attendance, test scores, special skills, talents, interests, letters of recommendation, essay, portfolio, and audition (if required). Applicants are selected based on this criteria while considering the demographics of Hudson County. Students/parents/counselors will receive a notification letter in mid-February; students will be notified of their orientation meeting upon acceptance.
