The Sophomore Wood Technology class completed the introduction to safety with tools and machines and completed their first small-scale project during the first marking period. Students learned about safety practices used in the classroom as well as industry, such as appropriate safety gear, OSHA regulations, and how to safely use the hand tools and common stationary machines used in this field.
The project involved reading a provided dimensional drawing, modeling it in Fusion 360, creating their own dimensional drawing, and fabricating the project to correct drawing dimensions, using all the hand tools and techniques Mr. Bolich showed them along the way.
Looks like everyone is ready for the next challenge.
