High Tech Dance Takes Top Honors at the Hudson County Teen Arts Festival

The High Tech High School Performing Arts Academy is proud to share the accomplishments of our Dance Choreography Division majors, under the direction of Ms. Heather Warfel, at this year’s Hudson County Teen Arts Festival on Friday, April 24th.

The Hudson County Teen Arts Festival highlights student-created work across disciplines and provides a space for young artists to share their pieces with professional adjudicators.

The Dance Choreography majors were recognized for their originality and performance quality, earning the following distinctions:

  • Bronze Medal – Grounded
  • Bronze Medal – To the River
  • Additionally, junior Melody Hartman Kelly and senior Angelina Mendez were awarded Top Honors for their performance of Comfortably Numb, choreographed by Melody. The duo was also invited to represent High Tech High School and perform Comfortably Numb at the upcoming New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival.
