On June 14, 2023, the French Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony.
It was also a goodbye celebration for senior graduating members.
The celebration commemorated events and achievements of the French Club and the FHS throughout the year, such as the French Museum/Immersive experience, and the HCST Interlingua Festival to name a few. Also during the ceremony the Bronze Medal winner of the National French Exam Le Grand Concours, Sade Pena received her award.
This event was an induction for new FHS members and a farewell to High Tech seniors who received their French Honor Society Chords and tassels. The graduating seniors included the French Honor Society president Marieme N'Diaye, Vice-President Nicole Sarmiento, and the members: Sade Pena, Sarah Francis, Samantha Arias, Nancy Abdelmesih, Ashley Rodriguez, Jessica Malek, Renee Goldfinger, Saranya Ganesan, Catherine Gladbach, Nica Saoiand Madeleine Ashe.
The new members were welcomed to this honorable and demanding milieu. They were inducted after a short presentation of the ways they will make an impact on the French Honor Society and they received their certificates of membership after the FHS Pledge: “Je m’engage à continuer sans relâche mes efforts pour m’instruire et transmettre aux futures générations mon amour pour la langue et la culture françaises.”
Congratulations to the new members of the French Honor Society: Happy Boutrus, Renee Goldfinger, Tala IssaAmbika Rao, Muneera Munpen, and Pierina Melo.
Juniors of the French Honor Society prepared a pochette surprise (goody bag) for their senior graduates. It was a bittersweet farewell.
Dire adieu aux amis, ce n’est pas facile!
