(Secaucus, NJ–October 16, 2019) Representatives from over thirty colleges and universities from around the United States visited High Tech this week for the high school’s first college fair, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech High School.
Spearheaded by School Counselor Nermeen Hanna-Avegno and Guidance Secretary Natalie Fernandez, the fair provided an opportunity for all High Tech seniors to meet representatives from schools ranging from as far as Hawaii Pacific University. Several of High Tech’s partner institutions, including Stevens Institute of Technology, Johnson and Wales University, and New York Institute of Technology, also attended alongside local schools such as Seton Hall, Kean, and Stockton University.
Assistant Principal Michael Ra found the event helpful for the outgoing class of 2020, saying: “It was a perfect opportunity for our HTHS seniors to meet and discuss college admissions and get to know representative’s perspectives on what makes for a great fit between student and school.”
