Earlier this month, High Tech High School’s French Honor Society hosted its first immersive museum event for students and staff. The stunning Impressionism exhibit featured an art gallery made by HTHS’s very own Art Club and French Club students, coloring tables, trivia stations, a professional Photo Booth, and French patisserie-style treats! The star of the event was the Immersive Claude Monet exhibit, displaying various Impressionist art pieces on the walls and floor of the resource room. At the end of the gallery, visitors won prizes by answering questions on what they learned at the museum.
Led by Dr. Laje Gashi, the following students worked for several months to make this event possible: Marieme N’Diaye, Sarah Francis, Bianca Faria, Alexander Pereyra, Maya Geller, Sade Peña, Nancy Abdelmesih, Ashley Rodriguez, Nicole Sarmiento, Saorla Rafferty, Saranya Ganesan, Samantha Arias, Jessica Malek, Mouhammad Dia, Nica Saoi, and Catherine Gladbach. According to these French Honor Society members, the Musee Francais event encouraged students to express themselves creatively while also learning about the history of French Impressionism art.
