(North Bergen, NJ—May 9, 2016) Yong Cho, Assistant Principal of Daejeon Dongshin Science High School in South Korea, and eighty students toured High Tech High School to experience the atmosphere and the culture of the High Tech community, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech.
Jersey City residents Cindy Chung and Alex Kim, Ina Jang of Secaucus, and Bayonne resident Rachel Kim assisted Dr. Giammarella and Michael Ra, Assistant Principal of High Tech, with translations and hosting. In addition, the High Tech TV Production Department interviewed Cho and his students for posterity.
“It was an honor to host international students at High Tech and have these students interact with our students and staff,” says Dr. Giammarella. “I would like to thank the High Tech community for making their visit a memorable one.”
Founded in 1984 as a school for gifted and talented students in mathematics and the sciences, Daejeon Dongshin Science High School graduates students who usually attend science or engineering powerhouses like Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (known simply as KAIST), Seoul National University, University of Western Australia, and many other highly prestigious universities and medical institutions around the world.
