About D|Fab

The Academy for Design and Fabrication (D|Fab) prepares students for college-level study and/or careers in architecture, interior design, urban planning, industrial design, industrial, digital fabrication, wood technology, civil and mechanical engineering. Beginning with freshman year, students experience hands-on Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses aligned with industry standards in the fields of Architecture, Industrial Design & Animation, Computer Programming, Interactive Media, and Wood Technology, where students utilize software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, AutoDesk AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion 360, Maya and 3DMax. This CTE work is further supported through an Engineering Design course which ensures all freshmen understand the engineering design process before embarking on deeper explorations in their desired areas of CTE study throughout their sophomore, junior, and senior years. In addition to this coursework, students are also exposed to a multitude of career possibilities through field trips, work-based learning experiences, and guest speakers.
