Overview
This program is designed for students passionate about visual communication, graphic design, and digital art. Students develop proficiency in industry-standard design tools and techniques—mastering digital illustration, typography, photo manipulation, vector graphics, and brand design.
Through hands-on, project-based learning, students transform ideas into professional media assets for both real and simulated clients. Real-world applications include designing high-impact promotional campaigns, event branding, publication layouts, and High Tech High School (HTHS) yearbook features.
Instructor: Stephanie Mintzer
Stephanie Mintzer is a graduate of Stockton University and holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University (NJCU). She has been with the district since 2007. Students in Mrs. Mintzer’s classes regularly participate in advertising design competitions, as well as various other events. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Mintzer enjoys spending time with her four children and traveling the world whenever possible.
