HTHS Dance Performance Shines at NJSBA Conference

The New Jersey School Board Association selected the Performance Division Dance majors from High Tech High School to represent the Hudson County Schools of Technology at their annual conference on October 22nd in Atlantic City.

Under the direction of instructor Trista DeFilippis, these talented students showcased three beautiful performances."My Mind" performed by Stephanie Apolinario, Yalexa Duran, Sofia Hristova, Arianna Nieves, and Alexandria Szyskowski. "How to Disappear," a solo performance by Anabella Sornoza. The performance concluded with "Blue Gangsta," featuring the entire ensemble of dancers: Stephanie Apolinario, Liv Augendre, Nyomi Batista, Lillyana Boland, Claudette Carranza, Emily Echavez, Isabella Escobar, Skye Estevez, Monisa Gracy-Frye, Arianna Nieves, Mariela Patino, Dazlynn Quintana, Anabella Sornoza, Alexandria Szyskowski, and Timia Tucker.

The students’ performances highlighted their technical skill and dedication, making a memorable impression on the conference attendees and showcasing the talent within the Hudson County Schools of Technology. The Performance Division Dancers were once again proud to represent HCST, as in April 2024, they performed at the National School Board Conference in New Orleans.
