HTHS Culinary Team Competes @ NJAC School Cook-Off

High Tech’s Culinary Arts program competed in the NJAC County Vocational-Technical School Cook-Off held at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City on May 8, 2026.

Competing against teams from 10 New Jersey counties, the High Tech team presented a Japanese-inspired display and menu featuring pretzel pork and chive dumplings, along with crispy sushi rice topped with yuzu guacamole and seared ahi tuna. In just over an hour, the team successfully served more than 300 guests.

Five seniors — Nicole Sanchez, Malk Mostafa, Kristina Torres, Sarah Rodriguez and Jaxx Rosado — along with junior Aleena Bhatti, worked alongside Chef Castlegrande and Chef Delorenzo to earn a Bronze 3rd Place award in the NJAC Judges Taste category.

Throughout the competition, the students demonstrated exceptional teamwork, professionalism, and culinary skill. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and outstanding achievement.

Congratulations!
