High Tech High School Performing Arts

High Tech High School’s Award-Winning Performing Arts Program is a vibrant and dynamic community, offering four captivating programs: Dance: Performance, Dance: Choreography, Theatre Arts: Drama, and Theatre Arts: Musical Theatre. From the moment they audition in 8th grade, students commit to one of these majors, embarking on a journey of artistic discovery and growth over their four years at High Tech.

Students will have the incredible opportunity to study closely with their primary instructors, who are not just teachers but seasoned professionals in their fields. Additionally, they will engage with outside professionals, gaining invaluable insights and experience. The program's collaborative nature fosters a strong sense of camaraderie as Performing Arts students frequently work together on productions, with many interdisciplinary projects allowing majors to overlap and create together.

The curriculum is built around a central, inspiring theme: unwavering support from dedicated teachers. Through individualized instruction, students are empowered to shape their own educational experiences, unlocking their potential and achieving remarkable accomplishments. This support system creates a challenging yet exciting and fun environment where creativity and passion thrive.

In this nurturing atmosphere, students are not only honing their craft but also building lifelong friendships and professional networks. The Performing Arts Program at High Tech High School is more than just education; it’s an exhilarating adventure that prepares students for a future in the arts, instilling them with confidence, skill, and a deep love for their chosen discipline.
